Amy Mckeon

Personal Finance Teacher

“Live as children of light, for light produces every kind of goodness and righteousness and truth.”

– Ephesians 5:8-9

Biography

Amy, a native of Connecticut, sees herself as blessed with the opportunity to call Henderson County home. A convert to Catholicism in 2006, Amy with her husband Tim, began homeschooling four of their five children. She believes that her call to teach at Canongate is a natural extension of homeschooling her children, teaching at the homeschool co-ops her children attended, and catechesis for St. Barnabas. Amy and her husband are strong believers and supporters of the beauty of a classical Catholic education. This belief led three of their daughters to graduate from Canongate. Amy is an advocate for living a debt-free life and is excited to encourage her students to attend college, start a business, or learn a trade without incurring debt.
