Amy Willoughby-Burle

Literature Teacher

“Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

-Phillipians 4:8

Biography

Amy Burle grew up in the small coastal town on Kure Beach, NC and after living here, there, and everywhere now happily resides in the Asheville area with her husband and four children. Amy has homeschooled her own children for almost fifteen years and has taught creative writing and literature at homeschool enrichment programs for the last five years. She fell in love with reading at an early age and lived for a book-a-thon like nobody’s business. Growing up she wanted to be a mom, a teacher, and a writer. God has seen fit to grant those adventures to her and she’s grateful everyday for the opportunities He gives her to share His love through her work within her family, her students, and her fiction. Teaching is an honor and a pleasure that she deems her dream job. She loves seeing the eyes of her students light up at a passage of literature that has moved and inspired them. Being part of their journey toward discovering the people God has created them to be is her great joy.
